Our Diagnosis
We began by inspecting the refrigerator and checking the ice maker components. Next, we removed the lower toe grille and inspected the freezer door wiring harness near the bottom hinge.
Several wires had completely broken after years of the freezer door opening and closing. Without those electrical connections, the ice maker could no longer receive the power and signals needed to operate.
The Repair Process
