The Problem
The refrigerator was completely dead. No interior light, no compressor noise, no fan — nothing happened when the doors were opened or the controls were touched. The homeowner confirmed the outlet was working and the unit had not tripped a breaker. With adequate power reaching the appliance but nothing responding, the control board assembly was the likely cause.
Diagnosis
We confirmed that incoming voltage to the refrigerator was within normal range. Despite adequate power supply, the compressor and fans were not operating. The electronic control assembly — which manages the compressor, fans, defrost cycle, and temperature regulation — had failed and was not sending operating signals to any of the refrigerator's systems. A replacement control assembly was required.
The Repair
We installed a new Electrolux control assembly, part number 5303918673. This assembly includes the main control board and its housing, which mounts inside the fresh-food compartment. Per the installation instructions supplied with the assembly, we also replaced the drain cup as part of the installation. All wiring connections were transferred to the new assembly and secured.
Testing the Repair
After installation, we verified that the evaporator fan and condenser fan were both operating normally. We also accessed the freezer evaporator to check the frost pattern, which confirmed the cooling system had resumed normal operation. The refrigerator was running correctly before we left.
Result: Refrigerator running normally — fans operating and evaporator frost pattern confirmed before leaving.
